Welcome to the "Youth workers Hub"

Training Programme

The training program is a curriculum that provides step-by-step instructions on facilitating replicable training for specialists working with youth on "How to Support Young People with Climate Anxiety." As a result of the training program, facilitators will be equipped to implement it in their local contexts, providing participants with basic knowledge about climate-related emotions and initial competences to teach young people aged 16–25 to relieve and manage their climate anxiety. The Training Programme will have a direct impact on specialists working with youngsters, youth workers, and mental health professionals who will gain a better understanding of climate distress and its mental and social implications.

Handbook

The Climate Anxiety Handbook will be developed as a comprehensive collection of essential information, resources, and strategies to understand and identify climate anxiety in young individuals while providing effective support to manage and alleviate its impact. The handbook explores relevant terminology, the various emotions, and the physical experiences that climate anxiety can provoke. It also includes suggestions and practical exercises on how to support young people in moving from anxiety or other intense feelings toward coping, action, and joy. This resource is specifically tailored for professionals working with youth and youth workers who engage with young people affected by climate anxiety.
