Håndtering af klimaangst: Læringsmetoder til mental sundhed. Sundhed for europæiske unge

Training of Trainers: CALM-EY goes European!

We are thrilled to announce our participation in the Training of Trainers as part of the “CALM-EY: Coping with Climate Anxiety: Learning Methods for Mental Health for European Youth” project.

From the 29th of April to the 2nd of May, our team took part in the training of trainers in Tallinn, Estonia Youth workers from Germany, Malta, Estonia, and Denmark came together to acquire and develop new skills aimed at supporting youngsters struggling with climate anxiety.

Did you know? According to a study conducted in 2021 of over 10,000 young people aged 16–25 across 10 countries, more than half (59%) reported being very or extremely worried about climate change. This underscores the urgent need for youth workers to be equipped with the tools and knowledge to support young people in this struggle.

During the training, we delved into the intersection of climate change theory, managing and expressing emotions, and practical tools and exercises. Together, we explored hands-on experiences and activities that will empower us to take meaningful action. This helped us better understand how to address climate anxiety and which concrete actions can be put in place by professionals to empower the youth.

Thank you MTÜ Peaasjad for hosting us and and to all the participants for their dedication and passion for supporting youth mental well-being.
